Candidate Profile • Must be a Master Mariner. • Must hold VICT, TSTA and AECS courses. • Preferably hold all three DCEs – Oil, Chemical & Gas. • Candidates holding at least two DCEs will also be considered. • Previous experience as a Principal / Head of a Maritime Training Institution will be an advantage. • Senior Faculty members meeting the above requirements are also encouraged to apply. We are looking for someone who is: • Outgoing, confident and professional. • An effective educator, mentor and communicator. • Strong in managerial, organisational and leadership skills. • Excellent in interpersonal and relationship-building activities. • Able to develop and maintain relationships with ship management companies and ship owners. • Comfortable interacting with and developing professional relationships with other maritime training institutions. • Possesses good marketing and business-development skills. • Capable of representing the Academy professionally within the maritime industry. • Committed to maintaining high standards of maritime education, training and compliance. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide overall academic and managerial leadership to the training centre, including faculty coordination, student development, industry liaison, business development and maintaining strong professional relationships across the maritime sector. The role will also involve representing U2 Marine Academy Foundation with ship owners, ship management companies and other industry stakeholders, and contributing to the growth and reputation of the Academy.
